The Reconciliation Process

In each relationship we try to see the humanity in the other. We overcome our denial, tell our stories, mourn, make amends, as appropriate, and do what we can to strengthen our friendship. We want to know how - and show how - people, even after a devastating war, can reconcile by working side-by-side.

In 2002, we created and co-sponsored an event in San Francisco titled "Reconciliation is the Opposite of War," featuring dialogue with two people from Afghanistan, South African Glenda Wildschut, a former member of their Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and Jhai co-founders Bounthanh and Lee. You can listen to audio selections from the event.
